About the role 

The Team Leader, Central Reservations is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Central Reservations team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service while driving sales performance and business growth across the Office of Sport's venues and programs. This role combines people leadership, customer experience, commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making to maximise utilisation, achieve revenue targets and support positive outcomes for clients and stakeholders. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing reservations team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus and continuous improvement. 
  • Drive sales and business development outcomes by managing customer enquiries, quotations, contracts and bookings, while identifying opportunities to increase utilisation and revenue. 
  • Analyse operational and sales data to provide insights, support strategic planning and contribute to the achievement of business and financial objectives. 

 

About you  

You are an experienced people leader with a strong background in customer service, reservations, sales or booking operations. You have a proven ability to lead and motivate teams, build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Commercially minded and solutions-focused, you are confident using data and insights to inform decisions, improve performance and identify growth opportunities. Your strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills enable you to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service delivery. 

 

Essential requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or substantial experience in bookings and sales management.  
  • Obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 Appointments are subject to reference checks.   
  • Successful candidates will also be required to complete a National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
