Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust is seeking a Training Officer, who can Lead organize, develop and execute the delivery of training programs and assessment activities.
- Training Officer (Clerk Grade 5-6)
- Temporary Part time (15.2 hours) role available till July 2027
- Located at Jenolan Caves, 3 hours from Sydney and 25 minutes from Oberon
- Package includes base Salary from $102,936.00 to $113,579.00 (Pro-rata), plus employer's contribution to superannuation

About the role
Training Officer contributes to the development of the annual operational Training Strategy and works collaboratively with Managers and other trainers to ensure all courses are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Training Officer provides staff with professional and innovative learning opportunities. They use a combination of online, blended, and face-to-face lessons and assessment tasks reflecting workplace environments and operational requirements ensuring compliance with industry standards and VET (Vocational Education and Training) requirements for Registered Training Organisations (RTO).
About you
- You will ensure the delivery of JCRT training and exercises (with suitable subject matter expertise) enabling the successful and sustainable implementation of the annual operational Training Strategy.
- You will contribute to the management of learning materials and supporting resources to inform reviews and validation processes.
- Undertake administration and systems activities to ensure effective, compliant and consistent utilisation of training assets, locations and resources.
- Support future training needs analyses and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and new initiatives related to a specific stream of learning in JCRT
Key knowledge and experience
- Ability to undertake/ support operational response in a field or incident management role as required.
- Experience working in a vocational education and training environment.
- Experience with interpretation, group management & safety, and environmental education
Essential requirements
• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) or higher-level TAE qualification
• Currency in the qualifications being trained and/or assessed with demonstrated experience in field operations for an emergency and/or land management agency.
• A current Australian driver’s license
