Bradfield City is one of the NSW Government's most significant development initiatives, creating new opportunities for investment, innovation and jobs in Western Sydney. As Senior Public Affairs Advisor, you'll play a leading role in shaping how this story is told, building public understanding of Government priorities and strengthening the Authority's reputation as the precinct grows.
You'll play a leading role in the Authority's public affairs program, developing and delivering proactive media opportunities that showcase milestones across Bradfield City and the Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility (AMRF). You'll identify compelling stories, build positive awareness of the Authority's work and contribute to the management of reactive media enquiries and emerging issues when they arise.
Working across media, digital and executive communications, you'll create high-quality content including media releases, talking points, social media posts, newsletters, presentations and other communication materials that reflect Government priorities and resonate with key audiences.
You'll also provide trusted strategic advice to senior executives, business leaders and Minister's Offices on reputational issues, media engagement and public communications. Building strong relationships with Minister's Offices, journalists and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure communications are clear, consistent and effective in supporting the Authority's objectives.

What you will bring to the role:
- Experience developing proactive media and public affairs strategies that enhance organisational reputation and increase public awareness.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce engaging media releases, speeches, web content, social media, newsletters and executive communications for a range of audiences.
- The ability to identify emerging issues and opportunities, using sound judgement to provide timely and strategic communications advice.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building collaborative relationships across government, Ministerial offices, media and external partners.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- A strategic and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, consistent and accessible messaging.
- A collaborative, outcomes-focused approach, balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines and maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.
What is an essential requirement:
- Tertiary qualifications in media, journalism or similar; or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to be on call as required outside of normal working hours
- Valid Driver’s license and the willingness/ability to travel to locations not accessible by public transport
