• Salary range from $133,348 to $146,985 plus super and leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
EnergyCo are looking to establish a talent pool for current and future vacancies in regional and metropolitan NSW, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering positive community outcomes and contributing to the energy transition!

We're seeking experienced Senior Officers, Community and Stakeholder to lead meaningful engagement across major Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) and Priority Network Infrastructure Project (PNIP) initiatives. In this role, you'll be the trusted link between project teams and the communities they serve by building relationships with landholders, stakeholders and local communities delivering high-quality engagement activities and ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle. From community meetings and site visits to developing communications, managing stakeholder relationships and providing valuable engagement insights, you'll play a critical role in maintaining social licence and supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure that will help shape the state's energy future.

Our upcoming opportunities will be across the following projects:

• Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone - offices based in Mudgee or Dubbo
• Hunter Transmission Project - Project resources  – offices based in Newcastle or Sydney
• New England Renewable Energy Zone – Offices based in Armidale, Newcastle or Sydney
• South West Renewable Energy Zone – Office based in Sydney
  
  

About You
You're an experienced community and stakeholder engagement professional with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, confident engaging with diverse audiences and navigating sensitive or complex issues with professionalism and empathy. You thrive in fast-paced project environments, can balance competing priorities and have a proven ability to coordinate engagement activities, develop high-quality communications and provide accurate reporting that informs decision-making. Ideally, you have experience with major infrastructure projects in either the private sector or within government/local council giving you the perfect platform to view projects from multiple lenses.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations and/or equivalent experience.
• Capacity and willingness to travel to regional locations, and to work outside of core business hours.
• Current Australian Drivers licence (Class C minimum).

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
