Lead the day-to-day operations of a dynamic sport and recreation centre that supports participation in sport and active recreation across NSW. 

 

 

About the role 

As the Centre Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a dynamic sport and recreation centre, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences, safe operations, and high-quality programs and services. You will play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, managing resources and service providers, and fostering a high-performing team culture that supports participation in sport and active recreation across NSW. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of centre programs and services, ensuring a safe, efficient and customer-focused culture that meets organisational objectives.
  • Manage, resource planning, budgets, and workforce and contractor performance to deliver sustainable services to customers. 
  • Build strong partnerships with local community stakeholders, customers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in the operation of the Centre and enhance customer experience. 

 

About you  

You are a customer-centric leader with experience managing complex operational environments and leading diverse teams. You thrive in fast-paced settings, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on service excellence, safety, collaboration and continuous improvement. Commercially astute and solutions-focused, you build strong stakeholder relationships and inspire teams to deliver outstanding outcomes. 

 

Essential Requirements 

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams within a customer service environment.
  • Proven ability to lead high-quality customer service across diverse customer groups.
  • Strong operational, financial and resource management capability, including experience managing budgets and service delivery outcomes.
  • Current Class C Driver Licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check clearance.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster outside normal working hours.
