We're looking for an experienced Team Leader People Advisory to lead our centralised People Advisory team and help shape the future of HR service delivery across one of NSW's most important government agencies.

 

At DCCEEW, our work impacts the people, communities and environment of NSW every day. As Team Leader People Advisory, you'll play a key role in ensuring our people receive timely, expert and customer-focused support throughout their employment journey.

 

This is more than a traditional HR operations role.

You'll lead a team of talented HR professionals while driving service excellence, continuous improvement and modern ways of working.

 

You'll:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing People Advisory team
  • Manage service delivery, workflows and performance against KPIs
  • Provide expert advice on complex workforce matters and escalations
  • Use data, reporting and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Improve self-service capability through knowledge management and customer education
  • Drive technology enhancements, automation and smarter ways of working
  • Partner with stakeholders across People & Culture to deliver impactful workforce outcomes

 

About You

We're seeking a people leader who combines strong HR operational expertise with a passion for service excellence.

 

You will bring:

  • Proven experience leading a People Advisory, HR Operations or Shared Services team
  • Strong knowledge of public sector employment conditions, awards, policies and workforce practices
  • Experience managing service performance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • The ability to coach and develop others while fostering a positive and accountable team culture
  • A customer-first mindset with a focus on innovation and practical solutions
  • Confidence navigating complex workforce matters and competing priorities

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources or related discipline, or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Service delivery leadership experience in a People Advisory, HR Operations or shared services environment.
