We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Senior Program Officer, Grant Closure.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to programs that support Aboriginal communities by ensuring grant-funded projects are successfully completed, documented, and evaluated. Working closely with Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs), internal teams, and external stakeholders, you will play an important role in confirming that project outcomes are accurately captured and celebrated.

The role

This role plays a key part in closing out grant-funded projects by pulling together planning documentation, checking its accuracy and compliance, and ensuring outcomes are properly recorded and reported. You’ll work across teams and with internal/external stakeholders to ensure everything stacks up, contributing to consistent processes and strong program evaluation.

You’ll be managing competing stakeholder needs and expectations while ensuring documentation is complete, high quality, and submitted on time. It involves solving issues as they arise, contributing insights for reporting, and continuously improving how grant closure is done across diverse projects.

What you will bring to the role

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve compliant, timely grant closure outcomes.
• Analyse complex information, solve problems and improve processes to strengthen grant closure quality and reporting.
• Deliver results with integrity, managing priorities and ensuring accurate, high‑quality documentation under pressure.

What is an essential requirement:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
• This is an Identified role under the Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.
• Aboriginal identified positions are developed where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977) for Aboriginal people who meet the following criteria:

• is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and
• identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and
• is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
