- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $128,052 to $142,649 p.a. + super
The Water for the Environment branch is seeking to appoint a Senior Ecohydrologist to support the delivery of environmental water programs across NSW. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will undertake advanced ecohydrological and spatial data analysis, ecological response modelling, and data management to inform environmental water planning and decision-making.
In this role, you will lead and contribute to technical projects, manage scientific studies and consultancies, prepare high-quality technical reports, and provide expert advice to support sustainable water and environmental outcomes. You will collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the development of innovative tools, processes, and scientific approaches that help improve environmental water management.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated scientist with qualifications and experience in ecological and hydrological analysis and modelling. You will bring demonstrated expertise in analysing environmental and biodiversity data, strong GIS and spatial analysis capabilities, and experience using data management and scripting tools to automate and improve workflows.
You are someone who can interpret complex scientific information and communicate findings clearly to a variety of audiences. You have strong problem-solving and project management skills, work collaboratively with others, and are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment. Experience using scientific evidence to inform natural resource management policies, programs, and decision-making will be highly valued.

- Relevant scientific or other technical qualification and experience related to ecological and hydrological analysis and modelling.
