  • Multiple on-going, full-time opportunities (35 hours per week) 
  • Parramatta or other NSW DPHI office location by negotiation with flexible working arrangement supported
  • Clerk Grade 7/8 ($116,981- $129,492) 

In this role, you will support planning decisions that influence how people move through and experience their communities. Working alongside transport and planning specialists, you'll contribute to planning and assessments of development and infrastructure proposals, helping ensure communities have access to safe, connected and accessible transport options. Your work will help create places where people can more easily access jobs, education, services and the people who matter most.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about creating communities that are connected, accessible and easy to move around.
  • Brings experience or qualifications in transport planning, traffic engineering, civil engineering or a related discipline, and is eager to continue developing their expertise.
  • Enjoys analysing information and solving problems, using evidence to help inform practical solutions and better outcomes.
  • Values collaboration and enjoys working with diverse stakeholders to contribute to meaningful community outcomes.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, translating technical information into practical insights and recommendations.
  • Is curious, adaptable and motivated by continuous learning, with a desire to build a rewarding career in transport and planning.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in transport planning, civil engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
    Experience using modelling, analytical and advisory expertise to develop and inform planning, development and infrastructure proposals.
  • Eligibility for professional recognition or registration as an engineer is desirable, where relevant to the role and the department’s workforce requirements.
