Help develop and deliver renewable fuel programs

- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $119,292 up to $134,587 per annum plus super
We’re looking for a Project Officer to support the development and delivery of complex renewable fuels programs that will help decarbonise industry in NSW. In this role, you’ll work across the Renewable Fuel Scheme and related programs, contributing to developing policy, operational project delivery and industry engagement projects.
As a Project Officer, you’ll provide policy development and project management support across the Renewable Fuel Scheme and related programs. You’ll be responsible for maintaining project plans and documentation, managing procurement and contract processes, preparing briefs and reports, supporting governance and reporting requirements, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organisational objectives.
What you’ll be doing
- Support planning, development, coordination and delivery of the Renewable Fuel Scheme and related projects including policy development and project delivery.
- Monitor project deliverables, milestones, risks and issues to support project outcomes.
- Analysing and interpreting technical data to identify trends, emerging issues and insights.

About You
You are a highly organised project professional who can manage competing priorities and adapt to changing circumstances. You have strong communication skills; are solutions driven and thrive working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience supporting the delivery of policy and projects in a complex environment, preferably in the energy, environmental or sustainability field or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to identify risks and issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefing papers and presentations.
- Strong commitment to working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of clean energy policy and/or markets
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
