- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $119,292 to $134,587 + super
About the role
As the Coordination and Planning Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the effective operation of the Delivery South team in the Ecosystems and Threatened Branch. You will provide coordination and business planning support to the Senior Manager, Delivery South, including daily management of briefings and correspondence, issues management, budget management, and higher-level administration support, ensuring that priorities, deadlines, and information flow are managed efficiently.
You will be responsible for coordinating briefing materials, correspondence and workflow systems, supporting business reporting, and contributing to process and service improvement initiatives within the Branch. The role requires sound judgement, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across the Branch and Department.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high volume and high-pressure work environment, enjoys problem solving, building relationships, and can bring reliability to fast‑moving work.
About You
You are an organised and proactive professional who brings strong planning, communication, and coordination skills to your work. You have experience supporting senior leaders and teams in high‑volume, time‑critical environments and can manage competing priorities with confidence and discretion.
You excel at building productive working relationships, spotting issues early, and ensuring information is accurate, timely, and well‑presented. You are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, and you take pride in improving systems, streamlining processes, and helping others succeed.
Your ability to think ahead, provide sound advice, and maintain a calm, solutions‑focused approach will be key to your success in this role.
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and experience of working in a fast paced and high work volume office, including a proven capacity to support senior level staff in the management of projects and issues.
