  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $102,936.14 to $113,579.13 (Clerk Grade 5/6)

The role
Our Community, Customer & Stakeholders Team is seeking a Site Hire and Licensing Officer to help deliver exceptional customer experiences while supporting the activation of Sydney Olympic Park's world-class venues, parklands and public spaces.

This role is responsible for coordinating site hire bookings, licences and permits for a diverse range of commercial activities, events and public space activations. Working closely with customers, stakeholders and colleagues, you will manage the customer journey from initial enquiry through to booking and delivery, ensuring a seamless experience while balancing operational, commercial and compliance requirements.

More than a traditional administration role, you will use customer insights to identify opportunities to improve systems, enhance customer pathways, grow site hire activity and support increased visitation and revenue. You will strengthen stakeholder relationships which grow the precinct’s reputation as an attractive destination and a home for community activities.

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience managing licences, permits, bookings, contracts or similar customer-facing agreements, with the ability to maintain accuracy and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Sound commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to increase site utilisation, support precinct activation and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Experience using booking, CRM, contract management or similar systems, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and customer pathways.
  • Ability to analyse booking, utilisation and customer data to identify trends, demand, service improvements and business development opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
  • Practical judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance customer needs, operational requirements, commercial outcomes and risk.
  • Ability to obtain, understand and apply legal, policy and specialist advice, translating it into practical processes, documentation and customer-focused solutions.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, with a focus on enhancing the customer experience, improving operational efficiency and supporting long-term business outcomes.

 

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in business or finance and/or experience in administering licence agreements, accounts invoicing and processing.
