The role
As the Concierge, Apprentices and Trainees, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Fresh Start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets Program. Acting as the first point of contact for councils, program participants and stakeholders, you will provide timely, accurate and customer-focused advice, manage enquiries through a shared mailbox, and help ensure a seamless service experience. You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, support program administration, prepare reports and contribute to communications and publications, including program newsletters. This aligns with the role's purpose of providing project and administrative support while delivering high-quality customer service and enquiry management.
Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will prioritise competing demands, develop an understanding of relevant legislation, policies and guidelines, and use this knowledge to respond effectively to enquiries and requests for information. You will also leverage technology and information management systems to support efficient service delivery, identify opportunities for process improvement, and contribute to the successful delivery of program outcomes that support local government apprentices, trainees and cadets across NSW.

What you will bring to the role
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to delivering timely, accurate and responsive support to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly, prepare well-structured written correspondence and build productive stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to analyse information, solve problems and identify practical improvements to processes and systems.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
- Sound digital literacy and experience using a variety of software applications, records management systems and technology to support effective service delivery.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to learning, continuous improvement and achieving quality outcomes.
