Lead Executive Coordination and Business Support in a Dynamic Government Environment
- Temporary Full-Time role, up to November 2027 (35 hours per week) opportunity
- Based in the Parramatta with hybrid working supported
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $133,348 to $146,945 + super
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Divisional Coordinator to lead a small team delivering executive coordination and business support services across the Climate Change & Strategy Division. Working closely with the Executive Officer and divisional leadership team, you will oversee ministerial, parliamentary and executive requests, provide strategic oversight of key business functions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality coordination and administrative support across a complex and fast-paced environment.
You will lead the preparation, review and quality assurance of critical briefings, correspondence and meeting papers, including sensitive and high-profile matters such as Cabinet submissions, Parliamentary Notes, Budget Estimates responses and GIPA-related documentation. This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of a division driving some of NSW's most significant climate, energy and resilience priorities while building strong stakeholder relationships, providing trusted advice and driving continuous improvement.
About You
You are a collaborative and capable leader who enjoys bringing people together, solving problems and helping organisations operate effectively.
You have strong judgement, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders and can balance attention to detail with a focus on broader outcomes.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in executive support, business operations, corporate services or government coordination environments.
- Experience overseeing business support functions such as finance, procurement, human resources or administration.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to build productive working relationships across a complex organisation
Key knowledge and experience
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing responses to departmental, ministerial and parliamentary requests.
- Demonstrated experience leading administrative or business support functions, including development of service standards, operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential requirements
