Great project delivery is about more than plans and milestones. It’s about bringing people with you, navigating complexity and turning business needs into practical, sustainable outcomes.
We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Officer to join our Data Program, delivering enterprise data initiatives across technology, business change and capability uplift workstreams.
This role needs more than a traditional IT project background. You’ll combine strong technical delivery experience with business judgement, keeping people, processes, adoption and enterprise outcomes at the centre of every project.
What you’ll be working on
This role focuses on two key areas within the broader Data Program:
- Corporate data delivery: Leading inter-dependent projects to bring multiple complex datasets into a single unified data platform to enhance reporting and insights. You’ll manage key stakeholders, onboard vendors, coordinate strategic and tactical approaches and address risks and issues to deliver critical program and business outcomes.
- Platform operations: Supporting business teams to adopt and benefit from the Data Program’s tools and processes. You’ll collaborate across our matrix team, working closely with the technical leads to devise sustainable long-term processes that set the data platform ecosystem up for success and meet business needs. You’ll also support platform-level compliance monitoring and reporting, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Across both streams, you’ll lead concurrent projects from planning through to implementation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, vendors and stakeholders in a matrix environment. You’ll keep scope, risks, dependencies, budgets and milestones on track while ensuring delivery remains grounded in business priorities and measurable outcomes.
About You
You’re a highly experienced project manager with a track record of delivering data, technology and enterprise transformation initiatives. You have worked across multiple complex datasets and understand the challenges of data migration, platform and system upgrades, and business-led change.
You are confident working with technical teams and able to test, translate and connect their work to business needs. You understand that successful delivery depends on people, processes, governance, adoption and technology working together.
You’ll bring:
- Extensive project management experience, including leading complex and concurrent projects from planning through to implementation
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving complex datasets, data migration, technical platforms or system upgrades
- Experience delivering broader business and enterprise transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on business outcomes, adoption and capability uplift
- The ability to translate complex technical information and governance requirements into clear business impacts, decisions and actions for different audiences
- Strong stakeholder, client and vendor management skills, with the ability to build trust and deliver through a matrix environment
- A self-starting, solutions-focused approach, with the judgement to work autonomously, make progress quickly and escalate when needed
- A highly collaborative working style and the ability to bring multidisciplinary teams together around shared outcomes
- A proactive approach to scope, risks, dependencies, budgets and problem-solving, with the ability to hit the ground running.
Above all, you’ll be a standout communicator and relationship builder who can deliver at pace.
