- Package includes hourly rate of $43.28 - $47.39 plus casual loading and employer’s contribution to superannuation

We are recruiting enthusiastic Camp Ground Support Officers to oversee services to campers within Royal National Park, including welcoming visitors, collecting day pass and camping fees, publicising the diverse activities and services available and promoting the sale of the National Parks Annual Pass.
About the role
You'll be at the heart of our visitor experience, ensuring campgrounds are welcoming, safe, and ready for adventure. From assisting travellers and maintaining facilities to supporting daily operations, you'll play a vital role in helping guests make lasting memories.
- Collect, process and reconcile camping fees, passes and other monies received in accordance with relevant public sector accounting practices, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Welcome and provide information to campers and park visitors on facilities, services and activities available within the area and maintain the supply of tickets, passes, pamphlets necessary to operate the facility.
- Collect visitor statistics, undertake revenue analysis and visitor surveys designed to enhance revenue takings, improve visitor services, recreational opportunities and client / public satisfaction with the services provided.
- Perform park (compliance) patrol duties, including monitoring vehicles to determine whether day pass fees have been paid and issuing day passes or infringement notices where appropriate.
- Promote diverse activities available to campers and park visitors, including recreational/educational opportunities, the value of nature conservation, historic and Aboriginal heritage and the sale of the National Parks Annual Parks Pass.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the camping area and the surrounds, report damage and follow up completion of repairs/replacement and ensure the accuracy of signage.
Essential requirement
- Commitment to nature conservation and Aboriginal and historic heritage issues, together with an appreciation of environmental issues.
- Capacity to undertake enforcement duties associated with the park use fee system and knowledge of the Self Enforcing Infringement Notice Scheme (Division 3 of the Fines Act 1996).
- Experience in a customer focused work environment.
- Willingness and capacity to undertake minor campground facilities cleaning and maintenance.
- Ability to operate reservations system technology, ability to acquire knowledge of Digital Reservation System and other corporate systems.
