(Deputy) Custody Manager, SBL & Collateral

Responsibilities:  

  • Work in a SBL team in a global custody business, providing guidance on SBL and Collateral workflows, issue resolutions and client servicing.
  • Client education on the benefits and risks of securities lending to drive participation.
  • Implement controls to manage recall risks and failed trades etc.
  • Develop and implement strategies for securities lending to maximize revenue while balancing risk.
  • Identify lending opportunities by analyzing market trends, client portfolios, and demand for securities.
  • Oversee the acceptance, valuation, and management of collateral for securities loans.
  • Ensure the collateral meets regulatory and internal risk requirements.
  • Collaborate with 3rd parties agent to expend SBL and Collateral capabilities.
  • Night shifts and holiday support are required.

Requirements: 

  • 3 - 5 years of experience with custody or fund administration business.
  • Familiar with using trade and SBL and Collateral systems.
  • Overall understanding and knowledge about various markets and investment instruments (like equities and fixed incomes etc.) as well as their related operating modes, clearing and settlement procedures, law and regulations, commonly-used SWIFT formats etc.
  • Familiar with different markets and operating requirements etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and co-ordination skills to work with the team.
  • Independent in thinking, arrange work and dealing with business partners or service providers; flexible and client focus in rendering client-fronting services.
  • Meticulous with details; diligent and efficient in follow-through.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure arisen from workload and time constraints.
  • Sensitive about international market developments and industry initiatives.
