THE RESIDENCES
The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Muscat will represent Oman’s only luxury, branded beachfront residences and will be the hotelier’s debut in the Middle East region. The property will be developed by Eagle Hills Muscat and managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Residents will experience unprecedented levels of sophistication and service at the property, which will feature some of the most select, luxurious private residences in Muscat
SCOPE OF POSITION
To ensure complete guest satisfaction during their experience at Mandarin Oriental Muscat, by providing information and services in order to both meet and exceed our residents and guest expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working efficiently with all departments as one team to ensure the full satisfaction of both guests and residents at all times, whether they are in-house or elsewhere by providing services and information that meet or exceed their expectations.
To ensure that Mandarin Oriental Muscat, grooming standards are maintained - ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and demonstrate a professional image for our residents and guests.
To ensure you are performing your daily tasks in accordance with Mandarin Oriental Standard Operating Procedures. This includes responsibility for dealing with all desk-based procedures and processes.
Assisting residents with obtaining services related to their apartments, in accordance with the lease, and other contractual arrangements
Providing detailed information regarding any services required, such as dining reservations, concert, sports and theatre tickets, travel arrangements, reservations, maintenance, personal trainers, massage therapists.
To maintain accurate and timely records of guests and residents requests and other work tasks, ensuring that relevant information is communicated to colleagues and/or management, as required.
To be acquainted with all guests, residents and visitors, and to greet them by name whenever possible, in a polite, professional and personable manner. To announce visitors to residents and management.
To keep all informational databases updated and current at all times.
To assist the Door and Bell teams to perform their duties when necessary to ensure consistency in delivering service.
To prepare daily reports, updating arrival and departure, handovers, move ins, works and deliveriis, as well handover of daily operations
Working with HMS and building link system, updating Resident’s details and following requirements of Resident’s accounts
To greet our guests, residents and visitors on both arrival and departure courteously and professionally.
To ensure the safe keeping, collection and drop of master key and ERT key
To ensure the safe keeping and issuing of pass keys.
To ensure the safe keeping and issuing of radios.
To ensure access to the Resident’s units is properly handled and logged.
To coordinate and overlook safe parking of resident’s cars in our parking bays as per dedicated parking slots
To assist with directions and gate access for residents’ guests and resident’s deliveries
To send notice letters of upcoming tasks and activities planned in Residences to the Owners and Tenants as to insure a good communication
To receive and send facsimiles, mail, packages on behalf of our residents and guests in a prompt and efficient manner.
To cover Doorman duties when required.
To ensure prompt and safe luggage and deliveries handling.
To attend briefings at the beginning and end of shift to ensure continuity of service.
To perform any other reasonable requests as directed by Director of Residences.
Requirements for the role
Excellent communication skills in all aspects, good organizational and administrative skills.
Must be comfortable with any shift work, including nights.
Excellent knowledge of Hotel Facilities, and outside restaurants, bars and attractions in Muscat.
To be able to provide prompt responses, assistance and coordination with any residents’ requests
To be passionate about delivering the very best service for residents and guests.
Confident, composed, approachable and able to motivate fellow colleagues under pressure.
Fluent English is mandatory, Additional languages skills would be beneficial.
