DIRECTOR OF HOUSEKEEPING, ROOMS

We’re looking for a Director of Housekeeping to lead our iconic Housekeeping team.

In this role you will report directly to our Director of Rooms and form part of the on-property leadership team.

As a Director of Housekeeping at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, you will be responsible for:

  • Upholding the levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel, maintaining the highest standards and exceeding our guest expectations
  • Day to day management of the Housekeeping operation (including public areas, laundry & valet, porters and requests from our residents)
  • Responsible for recruitment and selection
  • Responsible for training and development of our colleagues, promoting an enjoyable and motivating working environment  
  • Responsible for budget management, departmental administration and monitoring quality and guest satisfaction.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in a housekeeping head of department position as well as previous experience in a luxury hotel environment and have managed a large and diverse full service housekeeping team. This role requires flexibility to support the operation during peak periods, and will include weekend and evening work as required.

You will have excellent attention to detail, high standards for quality, be operationally hands on and able to act quickly to get things done. You will be business savvy, have a strong understanding of financials and P&L management and effectively manage OS&E within your department.
