As a Kitchen & Laundry Supervisor you will oversee the maintenance and operation of all kitchen and laundry equipment within our facilities. This role involves coordinating with the engineering team to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or facility management, with specific experience in kitchen and laundry environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of kitchen and laundry facilities, ensuring all equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to schedule regular maintenance and repairs of kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Monitor the performance of kitchen and laundry systems, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, hygiene regulations, and company policies in all kitchen and laundry operations.
  • Supervise and train staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and spare parts needed for kitchen and laundry operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide guidance on troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in engineering studies such as Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or Building Services.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience at a Supervisory level or similar
  • International experience: Middle East experience is an advantage
  • Hotel Pre-opening experience or renovation experience is an advantage
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (i.e. Inn Comm, BMS, etc.) is an advantage
