About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing the Sales strategy for the hotel and residences. The Director of Sales reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing of London.

As a Director of Sales at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assisting in the formulation and implementation of sales strategies for maximising room and catering revenues.
  • Directing Sales Team to ensure they meet the targets set in the annual marketing plan.
  • Attending local and overseas trade shows, hotel and tourist association meetings to identify market opportunities for the hotel.
  • Planning and where appropriate, executing sales trips to key existing market areas and identifies new potential market areas.
  • Meeting and entertaining all influential clients and ensuring there is follow-up on all discussed details.
  • Organise and deliver familiarisation site inspection trips of the hotel by major clients.
  • Work with the Director of Revenue Management to direct the Reservations Sales Team in driving upselling through telephone calls and delivering high levels of customer service to call-in guests.
  • Work with Sales team in Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London to ensure cohesive targeting.
