TMF Group Jamaica is looking to add a Bilingual Senior Accountant to our team in Kingston in a hybrid modality and perform the following tasks:

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of Financial Statements
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly report of variations in balance sheet accounts.
• Review and approval of payroll and other related reserves (must ensure accuracy and quality of information
• Responsible for accurate statistical records, timely quarterly and annual financial statements, in accordance with US Generally
• Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), local IFRS, local legal and regulatory matters in the assigned legal entity including data center.
• Responsible for accurate and timely filing of taxes, including indirect taxes.
• Administration of cash and tax provisions and budget.
• Assist in the audit of local tax authorities or any other government agency that requires it.
• Identify all non-standardized transactions (cross-cost transactions, exchanges and commissions) and review statutory implications before proceeding with any business decisions.
• Communicate to the Corporate Tax Management any relevant changes in local tax legislation that may affect the business model.
• Responsible for maintaining local transfer pricing files in accordance with Costa Rican legislation and in collaboration with the corporate tax team.
• Responsible for reviewing GL payroll, provision of vacations, bonuses or any other inconvenience that arises with the payroll team.
• Bank account update when required.
• Responsible for monthly reconciliations, monitoring of cash budget with treasury - Cash forecast.
• Tax compliance

Key requirements:

• Professional in public accounting or related careers.
• English and Spanish language proficiency (B2+)
• Minimum 3 years of previous experience in general accounting, taxes and payroll.
• Knowledge of Excel and its functions.
• Basic corporate knowledge.
