About the role
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new permanent role within our People / Development team structure. We are recruiting for Divisional Management Trainers to ensure our managers are fully equipped to lead successful centres, with a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, team development, and delivering outstanding customer service. By delivering engaging, practical training programmes, the Management Trainer will help raise standards across the business, supporting managers to be confident, capable, and aligned with our ways of working.
As a key driver of continuous improvement, the Management Trainer role will play a vital part in embedding best practices and creating consistency across our network. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about people development and operational performance to shape how we train and support our leaders. We have 5 permanent opportunities, one per HAC division. Interviews for this role will be held face-to-face at the Support Centre between the 28th May and the 6th June.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver complex and tailored operational training courses to improve colleague performance within the garage services business.
- Develop and update operational training content in response to evolving business needs.
- Support the induction of all new managers, ensuring the 12-week induction programme is well-organised, consistent, and sets managers up for success.
- Partner with inducting managers and regional managers to deliver effective onboarding experiences across the division
- Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of existing training programmes by generating ideas and identifying opportunities for development.
- Conduct routine coaching sessions, providing preliminary feedback and addressing minor skills gaps to support continuous learning.
- Assist in identifying learning needs through the analysis of performance and competency data to highlight development opportunities.
- Manage personal workflow effectively, ensuring all tasks meet expected standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness.
- Utilise performance management tools and feedback to continuously improve training delivery and personal effectiveness.
About you
- Excellent communication presentation and group facilitation skills, with the ability to deliver clear, engaging messages, and to facilitate group discussions and manage group dynamics effectively.
- Proven experience in learning and development, with a passion for developing talent, motivating others, and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong planning and organisational abilities, able to manage multiple priorities independently and align activities to business objectives.
- Confident working across diverse teams, demonstrating cultural awareness, collaboration, and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Analytical and solutions-focused, capable of identifying learning needs, solving complex problems, and turning plans into action.
- Results-driven with a focus on high performance, customer satisfaction, and consistently delivering outcomes that support business success.
- Trusted and reliable, acting with integrity and professionalism while applying company policies and promoting a culture of accountability.
