About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Leadership Development, Performance and Talent team at Halfords, where you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our leaders. As a Leadership Development Co-ordinator, you’ll provide high-quality operational support to ensure the smooth delivery of our Performance and Talent Review cycles, leadership development programmes and activities, and assessment processes.

From managing programme and event logistics and supporting our learning systems, to producing accurate data and reports, you’ll help create a seamless experience for leaders and colleagues alike. You’ll be the go-to contact for queries, communications, and coordination, helping us deliver impactful initiatives that support growth, performance, and leadership at every level.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for performance and talent queries, managing the Talent inbox and resolving system issues.
  • Configure and maintain performance systems, produce reports and dashboards, and issue communications to support review cycles.
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of leadership development programmes, including inductions, mentoring, in-role development and high-potential programmes.
  • Manage programme logistics such as applications, scheduling, delegate bookings, attendance tracking, and liaison with venues and facilitators.
  • Administer learning content and sessions through the LMS, monitoring engagement, completions, and feedback.
  • Support the set-up and delivery of leadership assessments, including psychometrics and 360 feedback, handling candidate queries and scheduling feedback sessions.
  • Draft and distribute engaging communications to leaders and colleagues, ensuring consistency across initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, business leaders, and external suppliers to support programme success.
  • Manage supplier processes including onboarding, purchase orders, and invoice queries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing and refining co-ordination processes for greater efficiency and impact.

About you

  • Proven experience in co-ordination, administration, or project support.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in drafting clear and engaging messages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfortable learning new systems such as LMS or HR platforms.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while building strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with an interest in performance, talent and leadership development.
  • Desirable: Experience within HR, learning or talent functions.
