About the role
You will be responsible for driving the ambition and growth of the retail category online to support Halfords Group in becoming the market leader. Alongside this, carrying out merchandising activities and support the team in range & maintenance of all retail and cycling products online, ensuring all lines are live with the correct images, content, copy, and accurate attribution. The role will also support in conversion optimisation of customer journeys with a focus on, growing purchases, attachment rate, availability, AOV and supporting help & advice: all contributing to a great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a point of Digital expertise in the selling of Retail products across both Motoring and Cycling category, whilst growing purchases, AOV and sales across Halfords.com and Halfords.IE, to reach ambitious targets.
- Collaborate with the Retail Digital Trading Manager & CRO teams to analyse commercial and web performance metrics, recommending strategies to improve performance, increase product attachment, and provide competitor insights to stakeholders
- Support when required in new range set up, ensuring accurate and detailed product descriptions, images, attribution and specifications are set up and merchandised with excellence, whilst working closely with commercial teams to ensure our product range stays competitive and new lines are set live online in a timely manner.
- Participate in regular category meetings with commercial team, line manager and Marketing to discuss online performance, sales, and targets and influence change.
- Support development releases and implementation and provide the product team with new ideas. With a focus throughout on the customer journey and user experience and suggesting potential improvements.
- Work with the wider Marketing teams (SEO) to ensure product pages are fully optimised for search engines to drive keyword-rich content across both websites, ensuring the right supporting content is in the right place.
- Focusing on the customer journey across Halfords Group Websites, improving user experience and suggesting optimisations to improve our digital NPS.
- Support in the organisation of, and responsible for the implementation of planned and reactive campaign and promotional changes, re-merchandising the site as required.
- Seek opportunities using Content Square and Medalia to understand customer feedback in order to address issues and implement changes where appropriate.
- Support the wider digital merchandising team with training needs, toolkits and best practice standards/guidelines, leaning into support wider digital merchandising needs at peak times.
Work closely with the Data analysis, CRO and Optimisation teams to:
- Analyse overall Retail online KPI performance and Optimisation opportunities.
- Influence key stakeholders through timely compelling insights and effective presentation of results.
- Produce and circulate weekly and periodic retail performance reporting to key stakeholders’ highlighting both success and opportunity.
