About the role
We’re looking for a dynamic and visionary Digital Merchandising Manager - Cycling to take the reins of online product and service merchandising for Halfords.com and Halfords.ie. In this pivotal role, you’ll shape and drive the execution of a best-in-class merchandising strategy—ensuring customers experience seamless, engaging, and commercially effective journeys across our digital platforms. From optimising product ranges to streamlining customer interactions, your leadership will directly impact our commercial performance and customer satisfaction, measured through conversion rates and Digital NPS.
Leading a talented team of Digital Merchandisers, you'll bring energy, clarity, and strategic focus to how we showcase our offering online. Your ability to collaborate across departments—from Trading and Digital to Marketing and Store Operations—will be essential in delivering cohesive and impactful online merchandising. Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the annual Merchandising & Content strategy in alignment with Digital Trading, CRO, and Optimisation teams to drive conversion, AOV, and customer experience.
- Lead online range reviews, ensuring commercial priorities are reflected and sales and profit opportunities are maximised.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of content strategies to support range launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activity, with a sharp focus on the customer journey.
- Drive innovation in merchandising by integrating new technologies, tools, and content formats that enhance user experience across devices.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Digital Merchandisers to deliver best-in-class execution and instil a customer-first mindset.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Digital, Trading, Marketing, and Store Ops to ensure seamless delivery of campaigns and promotional plans.
- Manage and optimise third-party tools and partnerships, including Salesforce, to enhance merchandising effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Use performance data, customer insights, and analytics to identify trends, optimise execution, and make informed strategic decisions.
- Ensure strong resource planning and workflow management for site categorisation, product updates, and range launches.
- Champion best practices by maintaining robust process documentation, safe working methods, and clear performance management routines across the team.

- With experience in both product and service marketing—including pricing, promotions, and advertising—you bring a well-rounded commercial skill set.
