Halfords Commercial Fleet Services (HCFS) is the UK's largest commercial vehicle tyre service provider. Formed through the acquisition of Lodge, McConechy' sand Universal, alongside existing tyre management operations, HCFS delivers nationwide coverage and support to some of the UK's largest commercial fleet customers.
As a Regional General Manager, you'll take full accountability for the operational and financial performance of your region, leading a network of depots through your team of Depot Managers. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving commercial performance, developing future leaders and ensuring operational excellence across every location in your region.
Field-based and commercially focused, you'll be a visible leader who can inspire high performance, drive engagement and build a culture that puts safety, customers and colleagues first.
The Role
As Regional General Manager, you will:
Lead, coach and develop Depot Managers to deliver outstanding operational and commercial performance.
Take ownership of regional sales, margin and profitability targets, identifying opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with customers, colleagues and key stakeholders across the business.
Drive operational efficiency through data-led decision making and effective performance management.
Develop talent pipelines and succession plans, ensuring the region has the capability needed for future growth.
Champion colleague development, coaching and career progression across your region.
Ensure all depots operate safely, compliantly and in line with company policies and procedures.
Balance multiple priorities and support Depot Managers in overcoming operational challenges.
Act as an ambassador for the Halfords values, helping to create one united HCFS business across all entities.
Support the delivery of the wider Commercial Fleet Services strategy through strong leadership and execution
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Experience leading multi-site operations within a commercial, fleet, automotive, logistics, transport or service-led environment.
A proven track record of delivering strong regional operational and financial performance.
Experience leading and developing large teams through multiple layers of management.
Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, sales, margin and profitability targets.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and operational business systems.
A good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements within an operational environment.
A full UK driving licence.
