Job Summary

The Admissions Officer collaborates with the CNHP Director of Recruitment and Alumni Engagement and admissions staff to support the effective operation of recruitment and admissions activities for the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP). Responsibilities encompass functions related to the recruitment and admission of students to graduate programs offered within CNHP, with a primary focus on graduate programs located at the Elkins Park Campus, including Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Orthotics and Prosthetics, and Audiology. Additional graduate programs within CNHP include Physical Therapy, Nursing, Physician Assistant - Philadelphia, Culinary and Food Science, and Creative Arts Therapies.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Director of Recruitment and Alumni Engagement in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recruitment initiatives that support the University’s strategic plan and enrollment goals. Responsibilities include travel to undergraduate institutions and participation in high school, community, and professional recruiting events. 
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of admissions files utilizing student information systems, centralized application service portals, enrollment marketing/customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, and document management systems.
  • Participate in candidate interview and admissions processes for CNHP programs, as appropriate.
  • Counsel prospective students and applicants regarding admissions requirements, processes, and program offerings.
  • Conduct presentations, both in-person and virtual, and represent CNHP at career fairs, college fairs, open houses, webinars, and related recruitment events.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of recruitment and admissions events, including open houses, visitation programs, and yield activities.
  • Attend selected events sponsored by the CNHP Office of Recruitment and Alumni Engagement, the University, and/or student organizations.
  • Conduct campus and clinical facility tours, as needed. 9. Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming campus environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the year for recruitment and conference attendance purposes; valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to support recruitment and admissions activities.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet-based systems, and other relevant software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practicum or professional experience in admissions, enrollment management, student affairs, or higher education.
  • Previous experience in undergraduate and/or graduate admissions.
  • Experience working with professions represented within the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
  • Experience utilizing Banner, Slate and/or centralized application service platforms.
  • Knowledge of enrollment management and recruitment principles and practices.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade H. Compensation for this grade ranges from $35,790 to $53,680 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
