Job Summary

The Research Associate will work with an interdisciplinary team working on an ongoing five-year field evaluation and other related projects. The research program focuses on understanding the consequences of legal financial obligations (including fees, fines, and restitution) on justice-involved individuals and their communities. The Research Associate will serve as part-time project manager for this effort, which includes an intervention that will directly alleviate some of these debts for individuals participating in a post-sentencing diversionary program. In this role, the Research Rssociate will work with project investigators to collect field data for the above projects and to expand the scope of ongoing research activities. The Research Associate will be involved in drafting and publishing research manuscripts.

This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.   

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate data collection and management related to the research project 
  • Coordinate research schedules and project deadlines 
  • Facilitate communications about the project among team members and agency partners 
  • Assist in the preparation of interim and final reports to sponsors 
  • Participate in data management, analysis, including coding, cleaning and analysis 
  • Co-author papers related to the project
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree.

Additional Information

This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
