Position Summary:
The Digital Content & Outreach Student Assistant will manage CMS’s LinkedIn presence and support broader digital outreach efforts: repurposing content for web and other platforms, assisting with short case-study writeups, and updating website content. This role blends hands-on content creation, light design/video work, analytics, and partner-facing communications. Technical support and source information will be provided by CMS staff for case studies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Draft, schedule, and monitor 2 LinkedIn posts per week (copy, hashtags, image, alt text).
- Repurpose posts into one additional asset per week (e.g., Instagram post, short X post, or email blurb).
- Produce 1 short case-study draft every 4–6 weeks (outline, 200–400-word narrative, suggested images); interview/project lead as needed (staff will provide technical details).
- Update and maintain website content (training pages, event pages, case-study uploads) under CMS/Marketing guidance.
- Capture, build and maintain an asset library (photos, logos, templates, photo release records).
- Create short-form videos (30–90s) as needed; add captions/subtitles.

Required Qualifications
- Basic video editing skills (CapCut, iMovie, or Canva video).
- Interested in manufacturing/engineering topics and ability to translate technical info into plain language.
- Prior experience in student marketing or communications roles.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current JSU student in marketing or communications
- Clear written communication and basic content editing skills.
- Comfortable with Canva (or similar) and confident resizing images and adding simple overlays.
- Familiar with LinkedIn and basic social media best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a content approval workflow.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently with remote access to OneDrive.
