The Stone Living Lab seeks an Associate Director to play a strategic role in attracting funding, developing research partnerships, and implementing a research agenda focused on coastal resilience and nature-based solutions. The Associate Director will apply strategic thinking to align research priorities with long-term goals and increase Lab capacity for growth and new projects. This multi-year role requires someone who is passionate about building research programs from the ground up, fostering trust-based research partnerships, managing complex projects and teams, and driving measurable outcomes in climate adaptation and nature-based solutions. This role will be housed within the School for the Environment and will work on SLL projects.

Associate Lecturer - English English
The English Department at UMass Boston anticipates periodic availability for non-tenure-track associate lecturers in English to teach up to four sections (12 credits) of first-year composition, to start in fall and occasionally spring semesters. Availability of courses depends on student enrollment and is not guaranteed beyond one semester. In addition to instruction, the successful candidates will be expected to follow standard departmental policies related to instruction and course coordination in multi-section classes.
Research Scientist I Anthropology
Incumbents classified in the part-time (70%) Research Scientist series within the Andrew Fiske Memorial Center for Archaeological Research will engage in their own archaeological research programs and work collaboratively with other Fiske Center members on team research projects. The incumbent is expected to develop a publication record and apply for external sources of funding to further archaeological programs; and will provide support to the Anthropology Department’s graduate program in Historical Archaeology by mentoring students, directing their research, and supervising thesis projects.
