The Research Associate in Energy Engineering Modeling (MS or PhD) will research, design, and develop a modular techno-economic energy system software modeling capability. This candidate will employ the modeling tool to conduct several case-studies of coupled renewable (wind and solar) energy production and hydrogen energy storage systems. Dissemination of this research will include the development of an interactive graphical dashboard/web-app/app. The successful candidate will also assist in writing scholarly articles and research proposals, help to manage and educate graduate or undergraduate students, and assist in the successful operation of the laboratories and facilities. |

The Research Associate in Mechanical Engineering (MS or PhD) – Condition Monitoring and Computer Vision, will conduct analytical and experimental research in the areas of Nondestructive evaluation and Condition Monitoring with an emphasis on the development of computer vision and machine learning-enhanced techniques for damage detection, data acquisition, and system monitoring for energy systems (e.g., wind, solar, hydrogen). The successful candidate will also assist in writing scholarly articles and research proposals, help to manage and educate graduate or undergraduate students, and assist in the successful operation of the laboratories and facilities. |
Controls & Refrigeration Systems Specialist (Building Automation Technician)

The Controls & Refrigeration Systems Specialist (Fume Hood) position primary responsibility for the operation and maintenance of HVAC-R automation systems and other controls systems. Works with the Building Automation System (BAS) and performs calibration, diagnosis, repair, and replacement of Direct Digital Control (DDC) controls and pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and electronic components. Assists plumbers, pump mechanics, electricians, HVAC mechanics, refrigeration technicians, and other trades in the diagnosis, repair, and replacement of their system components. |
