General Summary of Position:

The Department of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach one section of Race and Ethnicity starting September 6, 2023, and also to develop a pool of applicants for openings as they arise.

The ideal candidate will enhance the student's learning experience by integrating a variety of methods and strategies into the teaching process and maintaining a student learning-centered environment. The University of Massachusetts Lowell is committed to increasing diversity in its faculty, staff, and student populations, as well as curriculum and support programs, while promoting an inclusive environment.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • M.A. degree or above in Sociology

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Review of applications will begin immediately. Positions to start September 6, 2023.  This posting will be ongoing to develop a pool of applicants for openings as they arise. 

This is a part-time, non-benefited, Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW position.
