All members of the campus community must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain an approved exemption on medical or religious grounds. Vaccination information must be submitted through the university’s secure vaccination portal and exemptions may be requested through the university’s EOO offices. While face coverings are optional, every campus member is still expected to conduct daily symptom checks and to stay home if symptomatic. General Summary of Position:

The Graduate, Online & Professional Studies team is seeking a part-time Support Specialist. This role is vital to supporting the needs of the Graduate & Undergraduate admissions, recruitment, advising, and student services teams through various administrative tasks, customer service and student support. A strong desire to provide top-tier customer service is a must.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; answering phones, processing paperwork related to student application, processing registrations for non-matriculated students, entering transfer credit information, answering emails, updating and maintaining student records.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • HS diploma required, background in customer support
  • Preference to those with previous higher education experience
  • Must be proficient in MS office

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Initial review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled. However, the position may close when an adequate number of qualified applicants is received.

This position is not open to current UMass Lowell students.  This is an on-campus in Lowell, MA, temporary, part-time, 18 hours per week, non-benefited, non-unit position.  

The GPS office is open from 8:30am-8pm M-Th and 8:30am-5pm.  The ideal candidate will be available to work at least one shift until 8pm each week.
