Join Mutual of Omaha as a Software Engineer and help us modernize our technology landscape for our Enterprise Output Management team as part of our Enterprise Capabilities segment.

What We Can Offer You 

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):  

    • Engineer II: $115,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

    • Engineer III: $130,000 - $145,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. 

  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

What You’ll Do 

  • Build an understanding of document composition and digital communication delivery methodologies 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet diverse business needs across the enterprise 

  • Contribute to integration efforts using event-driven architecture, APIs, and message queues 

  • Mentor teammates and share expertise to grow skills in modern frameworks and practices 

  • Develop and modernize enterprise systems using modern technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, AWS, and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Proven learning agility and the ability to quickly adopt new tools, frameworks, and concepts 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Clear communication skills for conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Understanding of how enterprise communications impact customer satisfaction, compliance, and brand perception

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience in document composition, digital communications, or enterprise output delivery systems 

  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, APIs, and message queues 

  • Knowledge of methodologies and tools for designing and delivering secure, personalized digital communications 

  • Experience working within legacy environments while contributing to modernization and platform improvements
