As a Business Systems Consultant II, you will serve as a trusted advisor and partner, nurturing strong relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, Solution-Level Leaders, and Business Owners. You will lead strategic conversations and apply critical and strategic thinking to define scope, interpret research, evaluate options, develop recommendations, and outline key deliverables for major initiatives.

  • Estimated Salary: $86,000 - $120,000, plus annual bonus opportunity

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Workplace Solutions Senior Leadership Team and the Solution Level leaders across our Agile Release Trains (ARTs) by developing business cases for complex, high visibility strategic initiatives that drive our business forward.  
  • Collaborate and facilitate conversations with Senior Leaders, Business Owners, Agile Release Train (ART) leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights, assess current state with the desired future state, and provide gap analysis with actionable recommendations; define and communicate scope and objectives for complex strategic and technical projects requiring abstract and creative solutions. 
  • Identify and document business and system process risks and dependencies along with ensuring the architecture and system capabilities are understood and documented. Develop and communicate impact analysis and execution plans for projects of a complex nature, associated with business technologies that improve quality, efficiency, and the effectiveness of products and services. 
  • Build and maintain relationships in a highly collaborative environment while developing and maintaining strong knowledge of Workplace Solutions, Mutual of Omaha practices, the insurance industry, and the broader business environment. 
  • May partner with Procurement to evaluate external partners by navigating the ZIP process, ensuring all internal stakeholders are engaged and have the information needed to make informed decisions. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 3-5 years or more of experience in business analysis, project management, or similar roles, with strong experience in project management and change management processes and tools. 
  • Must have strong experience working with Senior Leaders, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and serve as a trusted advisor and influencer. 
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to partner credibly with executive leaders and business stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly and effectively. Able to drive decisions and align teams and the organization on goals and objectives. 
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities with sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and a track record of influencing outcomes and resolving conflicts. 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills, along with advanced knowledge and demonstrated leadership in business systems, operations, workflow analysis, terminology, and standards.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
