WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide strategic leadership and lead the execution and continuous improvement of absence management operations across Leave, ADA, and PFML programs, ensuring alignment with policies, objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Make senior-level operational decisions, including sign-off authority, considering contractual obligations, risk management, and key controls.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, prioritizing business processes, customer impact, efficiency, and cost-effective service delivery to enhance the employee and client experience.
- Develop and manage quantitative goals, metrics, and performance standards for claims and absence operations, monitoring quality, production, and service outcomes to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.
- Analyze legislation, mandates, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and directing corrective actions as needed, including process enhancements to address noncompliance.
- Serve as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, Field Sales, and external brokers, supporting escalated issues, customer customization needs, and presentations for key accounts.
- Lead, develop, and engage teams—on-site and remote—fostering talent development, succession planning, accountability, and a fair, inclusive working environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 10 years of leadership experience with deep expertise in absence management programs, including FMLA, ADA and PFML.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and partnering with vendors to achieve operational excellence.
- Strong change management, communication, and program implementation skills.
- Ability to balance compliance, operational efficiency, and customer experience priorities.
- Analytical skills to leverage data for performance monitoring and program improvement.
- Leadership skills to inspire teams, influence without direct authority, and drive organizational alignment.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining consistent, compliant processes.

- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
