The Vice President, Institutional Sales Strategy provides strategic leadership in the development and execution of innovative, value-added solutions that drive growth, profitability, and long-term customer retention across the Institutional Solutions segment.  The Institutional Solutions segment includes Institutional Annuity products such as Pension Risk Transfer and Structured Settlements, as well as Institutional Investment products such as Funding Agreement Backed Notes and Stable Value contracts. This role partners closely with senior leadership to shape and communicate product and sales strategies, leveraging customer insights and market trends to enhance customer experience and deliver competitive solutions. Responsible for directing and optimizing departmental initiatives, the VP ensures effective execution of business strategies, operational excellence, and alignment with enterprise financial objectives while fostering a high-performing, results-driven culture.

This role is hybrid with travel expectations of up to 50% of the time in Omaha, NE.  Relocation assistance is available if interested.  

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $176,500 - $260,000, plus annual bonus opportunity, and commission.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead and execute segment growth strategies that drive profitability, market expansion, and long-term business success while aligning products, services, and customer solutions to evolving market needs.
  • Champion innovative product and solution development across the value chain, delivering customer-focused offerings that enhance retention, create competitive advantage, and fuel sustainable growth.
  • Provide executive oversight of Sales and Underwriting teams with respect to managing financial performance, pricing strategies, budgeting, and operational controls while ensuring compliance with regulatory and enterprise standards.
  • Drive operational excellence by prioritizing high-impact initiatives, improving efficiency, and building strong partnerships across business units and senior leadership teams.
  • Develop and inspire high-performing teams while serving as an industry leader who monitors market trends, influences strategy, and strengthens the company’s presence within the insurance marketplace.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Proven executive leadership experience within insurance or financial services, with deep expertise in products, customer segments, distribution strategies, and evolving market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise strategy, drive profitable growth, and influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders in complex business environments.
  • Strong product management and solution development expertise, leveraging actuarial, financial, and customer insights to deliver innovative, market-leading offerings.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies and executive-level recommendations.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, highly regulated, and matrixed organizations in support of strategic business initiatives and leadership engagement.
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Hybrid role requiring travel to Omaha, NE (up to 50%). Relocation assistance is available if interested.
