The Engineer will design and deliver modern, cloud-native solutions using TypeScript and AWS to power critical health insurance claims platforms. This role focuses on building scalable, event-driven systems that enable accurate, real-time claims processing and seamless customer experiences.

You’ll help modernize core claims capabilities; driving improvements in processing speed, data accuracy, and operational efficiency while working at the intersection of engineering, data, and business operations.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications) 
      • Engineer I: $95,000 - $115,000, plus annual bonus opportunity
      • Engineer II: $115,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative configurations
  • Build and support integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures (e.g., MuleSoft or similar)
  • Apply software engineering and DevOps best practices, with a focus on automation, performance, and reliability
  • Enhance Salesforce capabilities to support sales and service salesforce cloud, onboarding workflows, and core business processes
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs
  • Extend and optimize Salesforce data models, automations, and workflows to meet evolving business needs
  • Maintain and modernize existing Salesforce implementations and integrations
  • Develop and execute test strategies, including unit testing (Apex), integration testing, and regression suites
  • Mentor and support team members by sharing Salesforce and development best practices 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 3+ years of experience developing within Salesforce in an enterprise environment
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce platform capabilities
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using Mule APIs and integration patterns
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub, Salesforce DX, Copado, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with CRM platforms, evolving systems, and data integration strategies
  • Agile mindset with experience using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Curiosity, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership

  • Ability to work remotely with access to reliable high-speed internet

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, App Builder)
  • Experience with MuleSoft or other middleware platforms for integration
  • CI/CD and release management experience in Salesforce environments
  • Experience optimizing business processes using Salesforce automation tools (Flow, Process Builder migration, etc.)
  • Ability to challenge and improve team processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to change

This role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings.
