As a Business Systems Analyst focused on APIs, you will play a key role in advancing mission-critical capabilities that support the future of Workplace Solutions. This role blends business analysis, technical problem solving, API solutioning, and testing to help deliver reliable, scalable solutions for our Benefit Administrator partners. You will collaborate with business and technology teams, connect end-to-end system behavior to business outcomes, and help shape solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and the customer experience.

 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: (levels have variable skills and qualifications) 
    • Business Systems Analyst III: $72,000 - $80,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. 
    • Business Systems Consultant I: $76,000 - $92,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. 
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Partner across business and technology teams to deliver API-enabled solutions that support Workplace Solutions initiatives and improve outcomes for Benefit Administrator partners.
  • Connect end-to-end system behavior, data flows, requirements, dependencies, and assumptions to business outcomes while validating feasibility with business and IT partners.
  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and manage complex requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability, stakeholder alignment, and approval as needs evolve.
  • Create clear documentation, including process flows, system information, requirements, decisions, dependencies, and testing artifacts that support solution delivery and long-term maintainability.
  • Lead or support test planning and execution for functional areas, including manual and automated testing for enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Analyze ambiguous issues using structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, and evidence-based recommendations to support sound decisions.
  • Facilitate productive discussions with diverse stakeholders, synthesize information, clarify decisions, and promote shared understanding across business and technical groups.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, delivery practices, and solution quality while providing guidance, setting quality expectations, and supporting continuous improvement.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 4+ years of business analysis experience, including hands-on experience analyzing, testing, and validating API functionality.
  • Experience using API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger to validate functionality, performance, and security.
  • Strong technical and systems acumen, with the ability to interpret architecture, tools, processes, data flows, and integration patterns and translate them into feasible business and technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to break down moderately complex or ambiguous business situations, evaluate options, and recommend evidence-based actions.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience building trusted stakeholder relationships, balancing perspectives, addressing concerns, and helping negotiate scope, priorities, or tradeoffs.
  • Ability to take ownership of work, guide delivery efforts, coach others, set quality expectations, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions.

  • Ability to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

 

 

PREFERRED:

  • Proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as Karate, including the ability to design, execute, and maintain automated API test scripts that enhance test coverage, streamline validation, and improve software quality and reliability.
  • Experience supporting secure and accurate employee and benefit data exchanges with technical third-party Benefit Administrator partners through API integrations.
  • Prior experience working in the insurance industry.
