Joining Mutual of Omaha as an Associate IS Asset Manager offers a great opportunity to build a career in IT Asset Management. You'll play a key role on our IS Asset Management team, helping ensure contract, hardware, and software data is accurate, well-documented, and readily available to support important business decisions. This is a newly created, remote-friendly position where you'll build a strong foundation in asset lifecycle management and contract support while working alongside a collaborative, cross-functional team.

    • $75,000 - $97,000, plus annual bonus

  • This role is remote-friendly — candidates local to Omaha, NE are welcome in the office as often as they'd like, with occasional on-site travel required (approximately 1–2 times per year).

This role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Maintain and update IT hardware and software asset inventory records, ensuring accuracy in Eracent, the team's asset management system of record
  • Support tracking of software licenses, maintenance agreements, subscriptions, and support contracts
  • Assist with contract documentation ensuring contracts are loaded, tracked, and closed out correctly as they move through the process
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation activities, and assist with physical asset inventory reviews and audits
  • Support technology asset lifecycle activities, including acquisition, deployment, transfer, retirement, and disposal
  • Generate routine asset management reports and usage metrics, escalating discrepancies or compliance concerns as needed
  • Assist with purchase requests, order tracking, invoice reconciliation, and coordination with internal partners and vendors
  • Maintain contract records and renewal schedules; coordinate vendor communications regarding licensing, maintenance, and support agreements
  • Create and maintain asset management documentation, procedures, process maps, and knowledge articles
  • Help gather stakeholder feedback and analyze current processes to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  • Support SOP creation, workflow documentation, and process or automation improvement initiatives

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Basic understanding of IT hardware, software, licensing, and asset lifecycle concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to apply structured tracking and recordkeeping processes — gained through experience in inventory, asset, or contract management, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a team and cross-functional focus
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams in a remote environment
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico

PREFERRED:

  • IAITAM certification(s) (e.g., CHAMP, CSAM, CITAM) or similar IT asset management credentials
  • Microsoft certifications
  • Prior exposure to Eracent, Zip, or SharePoint
