Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills? Join our team in a temporary position as an Underwriting Support Assistant, where you'll play a critical role in gathering and verifying key underwriting information that supports important business decisions. Through phone conversations, email, and business applications, you'll help collect and validate customer information while delivering a professional and positive customer experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your skills in customer service, data entry, transaction processing, and underwriting operations while gaining valuable exposure to the insurance industry.

Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm CST

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Hourly Wage: $21.00
- These roles will onboard, train, and work remotely from home. The hours are 9a-5:30p CST. Equipment is provided to perform the job.
- Temporary associates working 40 hours a week will accrue vacation.
- Temporary associates will be paid Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Place outbound calls to current customers to verify medications, medical conditions, insurance information, and prior coverage or claims history.
- Respond to inbound calls from customers returning previous outreach.
- Conduct structured customer interviews using approved scripts and guidelines.
- Accurately document information and process transactions within underwriting business applications.
- Navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Address customer inquiries related to new business applications and underwriting requirements.
- Help ensure underwriting requirements are collected, validated, and processed in a timely manner.

- Exceptional customer service and communication skills with the ability to build trust and deliver a positive customer experience.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing information and supporting customer application decisions.
- Ability to effectively navigate multiple computer systems while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven success managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing business needs.
- Demonstrated learning agility, accountability, and ownership of work from start to finish.
- You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in a listed location.

- Medicare Supplement experience.
- Medical Terminology knowledge.
- Insurance Industry experience.
