BMC is seeking a seasoned IT leader with Marketing Technology (MarTech) experience who brings together strong people leadership, technology expertise, and a product mindset. In this role, you’ll lead and develop a high-performing technology team while serving as a Product Owner, translating business needs into clear priorities and guiding the delivery of MarTech solutions that create meaningful business value. You’ll partner closely with business and technology leaders to shape the product vision and roadmap, prioritize work, remove barriers, and ensure teams remain focused on the capabilities that matter most.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team, fostering accountability, recognition, career growth, and continuous development of technical, leadership and business capabilities.

- Own the health, performance, quality, and reliability of technology solutions, ensuring systems meet business, customer, security, compliance, and operational expectations.
- Define and execute long-term technology strategies and roadmaps aligned with business capabilities, technology health, enterprise priorities, and evolving organizational needs.
- Act as Product Owner in collaboration with business stakeholders, translate business needs into a clear product vision, roadmap, priorities, and actionable backlog that deliver measurable value.
- Drive operational excellence and effective delivery, championing SDLC, SAFe Agile, continuous improvement, change management, and strong Incident, Problem, and Change practices.
- Serve as a trusted technology advisor and strategic partner, collaborating across business and I/S teams to solve complex problems, remove barriers, influence priorities, and deliver effective solutions.
- Lead and collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams, aligning work across locations, time zones, cultures, and delivery partners to achieve shared outcomes.
- Manage financial, vendor, and resource strategies, including budgets, technology investments, external resources, contracts, negotiations, performance expectations, and cost optimization

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 8+ years of leadership or people management experience leading engineering and platform teams and initiatives.
- Proven experience delivering complex teams within a SAFe Agile environment, including PI planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-ART coordination.
- Strong technical acumen and AI fluency with the ability to define and execute legacy modernization strategies, balancing architectural transformation with business priorities, risk, and owning solution outcomes.
- Experience leading Marketing Technology (MarTech) capabilities and platforms, with an understanding of how technology enables customer engagement, digital experiences, campaign execution, data-driven personalization, and measurable marketing outcomes.
- Experience in the financial services industry, with an understanding of regulatory, security, and operational constraints.
- Solid foundation in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) with demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse teams.
- Experience managing third-party/vendor partnerships and distributed delivery teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging, encouraging diverse perspectives, active listening, and continuous learning.

PREFERRED:
- Experience working in the insurance and/or financial services industry.
- Hands on experience with CRM/Content Management/Marketing Automation, Web/Digital experience, SEO/GEO and other Tech stacks like Java, Mulesoft, and the latest Martech stack
- Certifications
- Project Management (PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications)
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- Insurance-related certifications (e.g., AINS, CPCU)
This role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings.
