Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking candidates for an Adjunct Instructor, Human Services. The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for, but not limited to, the preparation and delivery of instruction in a classroom setting, face-to-face or online, using multiple teaching methods and technology while evaluating student achievement of learning outcomes across a variety of Human Services courses. Duties that the adjunct instructor must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, include the following.
- Provides instruction in Human Services courses regardless of format, whether online, hybrid, or face-to-face.
- Prepares instruction packages (syllabi) reflecting course student learning outcomes (SLOs).
- Prepares course materials as required, such as assignments, tests/quizzes, and handouts.
- Evaluates and grades students’ class and/or laboratory assignments, projects, papers, and examinations.
- Maintains student attendance and grades in D2L.
- Submits records of student attendance and grades, as well as other documentation, by specified deadlines as required.
- Adheres to College and departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
- Maintains good communication with department chair, colleagues, clients, and students.

| Minimum Requirements: |
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a Master's degree in Human Services with field or professional experience in the area of Social Work. Experience teaching at a community college is preferred.
