Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking a qualified Procurement Specialist to join its Procurement team. In partnership with the Procurement Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing complex procurement activities to ensure the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services that support the operational needs of the College faculty and staff. The Procurement Specialist ensures procurement activities are conducted in accordance with South Carolina state procurement guidelines and College policies and procedures, while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting successful internal and external audits. 

$58,854(Minimum)- $82,416 (Midpoint)

Bachelor's degree and experience in procurement and contracts.

 An Associates degree in business or accounting with 10 years purchasing experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5 year purchasing experience. Ability to generate invitations for bid, analyze quotes, negotiate with vendors for best price. Ability to run projects effectively and timely. Ability to work in a teams environment. Ability to create and understand simple accounting spreadsheets and generate bid tabulations. Basic knowledge of IT supplies and equipment and to understand their use.
