Front End Developer

Opportunity:
This role is hands on with software development activities for Village Roadshow Theme Parks and its divisions, for all platforms including web, mobile & integration. The Developer will analyse, design, code, test, integrate and maintain business applications to meet the needs of business and user requirements throughout the SDLC.

Your day to day:
· Drive costs down, by managing personal expenses, and contribute ideas for ways of reducing cost in IT team & business.
· Understand user requirements, by transforming user requirements into manageable development tasks & acceptance criteria.
· Work effectively with all other members of the IS team to deliver high levels of service to our customers.
· Meet project / task delivery deadlines, by working to ensure timelines are meet within the timeframes negotiated.
· Manage projects and tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that project teams are kept informed regarding project status, deliverable dates etc.
· Ensure software developed is robust, available, reliable, and secure, whilst working to ensure software development follows standard to provide stability, and correct documentation of the environment is built.
· Ensure operational issues are escalated to appropriate IT team members for resolution.

What you’ll bring:
· 2-5 years front end software development experience.
· Personal experience of some hands on development experience.
· University degree in a computer science, or similar related vocational course
· Strong time management and organisational skills, with an attention to detail.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work with stakeholders from all business areas.
· Web Development Languages – Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS.
· Web frameworks and libraries – React, Next.js, TailwindCSS, Graphql.
· Platforms - Contentful, Vercel.
