Trades Assistant
$30.70 per hour Full Time
12 month Fixed Term Contract

The opportunity:
As an integral part of the team your duties will include assisting with the Facilities maintenance across Village Roadshow Studios.

Your day to day:
• Assist with various rebuilds and repairs
• Follow workshop procedures and maintain the workplace in a clean and organised manner to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist and facilitate general day to day maintenance requirements
• Be able to liaise in a professional manner
• Ability to use a tablet-based CMMS, this includes scheduled work, preventative maintenance, defect reporting and follow up communications.
• Ability to perform basic painting, plumbing, carpentry, gardening and general maintenance repairs involving buildings, furniture and flooring
• Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent service and to promote a positive working environment
• Ability to adhere to maintenance task instructions as set out
• Be able to assist in breakdowns and out of hours works when required.

What you’ll bring:
• Proven experience in a trades related role
• Elevated Work Platform licence and Forklift licence advantageous
• Basic electrical safety awareness and understanding an advantage
• Ability to work at heights
• A manual driver’s licence is essential
• Ability to maintain confidential information is essential
• Able to work independently/unsupervised and also in a team environment
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively
