The Opportunity
Village Roadshow Theme Parks is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to grow our visitor numbers and maximize revenue opportunities across our world-class theme parks through strategic partnerships and tourism channels.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, this role is responsible for driving visitation and revenue by cultivating and expanding relationships with trade partners, tour operators, wholesalers, and corporate clients - both domestically and in New Zealand.
You’ll work across multiple departments and with external stakeholders to implement campaigns, sales initiatives, and contracting strategies to grow the presence of Village Roadshow Theme Parks in the domestic tourism landscape.

Your day to day
•   Achieve annual sales targets across all domestic trade and tourism channels (including New Zealand)
•   Develop and execute sales campaigns, promotions, and partner incentives
•   Identify and secure new business opportunities and partnerships
•   Produce regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity
•   Maintain and grow key stakeholder relationships through regular engagement and strategic collaboration
•   Manage annual contracting and yield across partner channels
•   Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and meetings with tourism bodies (locally and internationally)
•   Oversee the park’s visibility and performance on third-party websites and with wholesale travel agencies
•   Manage channel-specific sales budgets effectively
•   Utilize CRM systems and sales tools to track leads, manage accounts, and generate accurate sales forecasts and reports for management review

•   The ideal candidate should possess experience in a similar role, ideally attractions experience
•   Proactive team player with the ability to work autonomously
•   Strong written and oral communication skills
•   Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and priorities tasks effectively
•   Proven sales and marketing acumen with a deep understanding of tourism industry distribution models
•   Results-oriented with strong strategic, tactical, analytical, and planning skills
•   Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Dynamics365 and general computer literacy
•   Demonstrated high level of customer service
•   Effective communication skills across various levels of management and staff.
