The Opportunity:
To manage the purchasing requirements for the business including but not limited to sourcing, creation and management of purchase orders, vendor management, contract compliance, data analytics, inventory stock, catalogue management and category management.
Your day to day:
• Review and approve all purchase orders and issue to suppliers
• Complete new vendor requests and obtain and administer vendor quotes and product information into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Investigate and resolve with vendors any supply queries including delivery lead times, credits and price or quantity discrepancies
• Implement vendor, pricing, and lead time information at the commencement of new contracts to ensure smooth implementation
• Source new product and equipment requests, identifying price and specification and arrange sampling if required
• Initiate new product set up and link with correct supplier and price to purchase into the business
• Manage products and pricing records in the ERP system to ensure correct purchase order creation
• Build catalogues where applicable and track usage
What you'll bring:
• Demonstrated purchasing experience utilising an ERP system
• Experience in supply chain / stock replenishment
• Proven ability to compile and analyse data relating to purchasing needs
• Proven ability to work with stakeholders from all business areas and levels
• Be well organised with a strong attention to detail
