The Opportunity
Looking to dive into a part-time schedule? The Marine Sciences department are currently taking expressions of interest for current team members who are interested in applying to go to part time. 

Key Responsibilities
From feeding fishy friends to diving into their world, no two days are the same when caring for Sea World’s incredible underwater residents! You’ll be:
•   Carry out daily husbandry and maintenance tasks for the Sea World fish and invertebrate exhibits to maintain the animals in the best health possible.
•   Conduct diving in the aquariums for the purpose of feeding, enrichment, and cleaning tasks.
•   Identify problems associated with animal health or life support systems and take the appropriate steps to correct the problem.
•   Daily care of elasmobranchs, teleosts and invertebrates.
•   Water quality testing.
•   Participate in collections, transports and rescues for all fish and invertebrates.
•   Complete daily records for all exhibits under your care to ensure that accurate and complete histories are maintained for all animals.
•   Identify and safely handle required chemicals for aquarium use to prevent injury to yourself or animals in your care.

What We’re Looking For
Got the skills to make waves with our underwater crew? Here’s what we’re looking for:
•   Bachelor of Sciences in a relevant field (e.g. Marine Biology) is desirable.
•   Minimum of ADAS Aquarium diver certification.
•   Knowledge of aquarium systems, filtration and water testing.
•   Knowledge of marine species including sharks, rays, fish, turtles, jellyfish and corals.
•   Ability to work unsupervised.
•   Recreational boat license highly regarded.
•   Previous experience working in a public aquarium would be valuable.
•   Provide First Aid, including Provide CPR HLTAID011 is essential.
•   Advanced Resuscitation HLTAID015 is essential.
